POST 8: ENGLISH LANGUAGE CHALLENGES

Could to take English was an Odsyssey. It was really hard to take the subject because its schedule always overlapped some obligatory subject. Just in my FOURTH year I could take English 3, in another faculty!! (taking advantage of online classes). There we had to write in our blogs every week too, but we used the class time and the teacher gave us a feedback at the moment. In English 4, the level it was higher than previous one, but that helped me to making an effor and learning more. For example, with the blog, we not only practice our writting about a topic, but also we had to comment our class mates's blogs and with that we could practice reading and give our opinion for that. Other thing I liked for English 4 it was all classes we had to talk each other, practicing listening and have a casual conversation about interesting things. Although I could practice that, I need to practice much more cause I still get nervous when I'm talking and I tend to have gramatical mistakes or bloking the words, and then I try to replace the word in spanish so I end speaking a kind of "spanglish". My dad told me that exist some plataforms you could join to speak with native people to practice, so I could try that because in my near environment I don't have persons who talk in English. Sometimes, I try to make sentences in my head, but it's not the same to have a fluid conversation with someone. Also, I always watch series in the original language (the most in English) to listen the casual way to talk, and a good exercise I apply too it's try to watch animated series in English without subtitles (I like Adventure Time or Steven Universe), because they use a casual speaking and the caracters module very well so it's easy to undersand what they are saying. Well, I love languages so really want to improve my English (especially my speaking), and I hope to learning more and more, and maybe next year, take another advance English course to help me to use tecnical language applied in the career, not only a casual way.

POST 7: CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

Hi everyone! Well, as I said in my previous posts I'm study Natural Renowable Recourses Engineering. Although I really love my career, I can´t deny that the study programme have a lot failing. By first, some subjects, like "Computer programming", needs to be in the first semester because there you can learn to use some basic tools of programs we use in the whole career like Word, Excel and Power Point; even you learn how to cite. Regarding the curriculum, there are subjects wich don't have connection with the rest, and maybe you lose the sense of studying them, like "Calculus" (we have four subjects about that) or "Physical", so I suggest to focus them on our working area. About the faculty facilities, a bad thing that I didn't like when I went to presential classes was the little computer classrooms, because we didn't fit in there. When I studied "GIS and Cartography", some classmates had to take their own computers because the computers in the rooms weren't enought and that was a problem. So the faculty could invest in more (and better) computers or have a better organization for class sections. Another important thing that the faculty needs to improve is its accesibility, because the classrooms entrance aren't inclusive. We only have stairs, but we would must to have ramps. Finally, about the length studies, I think five years is ok, but, the problem is the last year is sooo hard (we really have a heavy workload) especially if you want to make you memory title at time. That's the reason of so many people ends taking an extra semester, even a complete year, so maybe we need a better balanced curriculum. Well, there are sooo many things that I could say about this topic, but a positive thing is the study programme has changed at this year, so many of point that I mentioned before have been changed in the new one! I hope this changes could improve the develop of this beautiful career and make better "recurseres"<3

POST 6: TIME TRAVEL TO THE FUTURE

Everyone have thought at least once to time travel, to the future or the past. I think traveling to the past could be dangerous, because anything you change could change all the present where you from, even your own existence (chan chan chaaaan). When I was a kid I read a tale named "A sound of thunder" by Ray Bradbury (maybe some of you have read it in school), and there, the people in future travels to the past to hunt dinasours, but you can only do in an specifical way and moment, and the thing is that a man make something wrong, like smash a buterfly and aaaall the future change for that little thing (spoiler, I'm sorry). So, I could make a time travel, I choose to travel to the future, and then, I could see what future we reach, and see what will happens in a 20, 30 or even in a 100 years. ¿What will happens with the climate change? ¿How much the Earth will have change?, and the way that we live? (if we still existing in a 100 years). Maybe my best friend Fernanda would go with me, because she is one of my best adventure partenrs, and there we explore all the posible places to investigate that future. I don't think that we would stay there, altough I thnik about it if is a good future with flying cars and tecnological things like that (like in the futurist movies), but, if is a bad future (in a post-apocaliptic way), maybe I would like to come back to the present to do something to change that bad future or enjoy my current present. If you could travel in time, would you like to travel to the future or the past?

POST 5: MY FUTURE JOB (IF I CAN GET ONE)

Hi everyone! Well, as you probably know and like some of you, I have taken a major in Natural Renowable Recourses Engineering, and I'm in my final semester! Altought, I going to egress soon, I don't know in what I want to work already (help), but what I know is that I want to contribute in proyects related to natural conservation, with investigation or helping people (children more than anything) to learn about the nature, because you only can protect what you know. Sometimes I think that I choose the wrong career because, at these days I have thinking that I would had like to study something related to teaching, but, if I hadn't study "recursos", I wouldn't know all the things I currently know about biodiversity, and probably I wouln't have my perception at present. In any case, I hope that my future job could be outdoors, because, but surely I will have to stay in a office sometimes. In some foundations and organizations, you can do the kind of job that I thinking, so I guess that I have to work in a place like that. Besides, I really want to travel through Chile and around the word to learn about other cultures and their perception of nature and ways to conservation... Even, my title memory is about something like that! I love this career because is so open! You can learn about everything. I learnt about botanic, flora and fauna, hydric recourses, economy, legislation, social enviromental-conflicts, etc. What field do you like?

POST 4: ART

When I was a child, in every gift event (like Christmas, Kid's day, my birthday, etc) I always ask for a book because I really enjoyed literature. As I grew, my pleasures was changing and then it starts to like to me theater... and sometimes I went to see some plays with my parents. Currently, I still liking to read some books but I what I like the most is grafic novels or comics. I enjoy watching the expressions that characters can make and the story which the artist can create. Maybe is a mix of the forms of art I used to like jajaja. I'd like have abilities to make that things and draw nature elements or cute characters, but I don't have it right now. Maybe if I practice I could make something , but I don't know... I have to try. By now, I enjoy seeing works for other artists that I follow on Instagram like @pluklin or @fishballishere, who make short funny stories and one my favorites is @biby_24k, she is my friend who like drawing and she does it so well. POST 3: MY CHILDHOOD

Everytime I eat watermelon (sugar), an image that a little Dany all covered on watermelon seeds comes to me. I remember that in summer, my grandma “Mané” always gave my cousins and me watermelon after lunch. My parents used to (and yet) work hardly all day, so I had to stay in Mané’s house with my cousins who lived with her, until they back home, thats why all my best memories were there. One of my favorites is when we made a club named “club de tesoros” (“treasures club”), made a time capsule and we buried it at the backyard (it still be there?). Holydays was when we could play more, but in school time we always could play after classes. I remember that I liked creat games or made videos (of low quality), and made my cousins play it with me. Also, sometimes we went to the park to play football or tag, or rode bike in the street where the house was. When we could’t go outside, we biked into the hallway of Mané’s house (she lived in a big old house). We had a lot of fun at there times. To resume, the only thing I can say is it was the happiest childhood I could have had, and wich made me the person who I currently am.

POST 2: THE BEST CONCERT I'VE BEEN TO

At these days, there are so many plataforms and apps to listening to music. However, nothing compares to listening to live music. I've been in three concerts in my life, but the best of all (by far) was a Bruno Mars concert in Movistar Arena in 2017. It was so exciting because Bruno Mars is a very famous artist and even he was on a SuperBowl show. He started singing pop music but now is more like funk, I think (I don't know about music gender). I went with one of my bests friends, Camila, who liked BM too, and she took a lot of photos with her camera. All the people was so excited (including us), luckily it was a space between the stage and the crowd, if not, surely the people would have climbed the stage (I would have did that). The show was to perfect, because Bruno Mars can sing and dance at time, so well. His voice sounds exactly in live and when you listen it in some music app, and the way he conect with his choir team (who dance too) it was awesome. I felt so happy listening to him that I cried😂 (too sensitive, I'm sorry). My friend only laughed to me. When all over, we bought a lot of merch that we never used it again. Have you bought some merch in a concert only for the memory?

POST 1: A COUNTRY I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT

In my whole life I have dream to travel around the world. In my adolescense it started liking anime series and mangas, and thats awakened in me a wish to visit Japan. This is a very modern country with a very beautiful and different landscapes in this island. If I went there I would like to see the cherry trees bloom in spring (that is a special moment where people goes to parks with their families and friends to see it), and go to the beutiful festivals with fireworks using a yutaka (a traditional japanese clothing used in special festivities in the summer). I really like to know this country because I think they have a very interesting culture and the landscapes that you can finding there are amazing, full of historical momuments, but… I only go there to turist for a little time, I wouldn’t like to live there because I think there are a lot of sexism and social pressure is too strong so I think people is not happy at all. Also the people is too cool with each other and I really like to live relax, making jokes all time and beeing so loving with people. Visit this country is a dream for now but I hope to can visit it a not too distant future. What do you think about Japan😁?
